padding: 5px 5px 5px 5px;"> <span style="float: right;"><font class="daisies">Movie Banter</font></spaN><BR> <font class="peonies">Friday, April 14, 2006</font><br><br> <div style="clear:both;"></div>Ok,apparently Saw 3 is in the making.This is another typical example to illustrate the meaning of the phrase,'milking what it is worth'.The original Saw was the best,the 2nd one was,in my opinion,just made for the sake of earning box office money.It's just gore for the sake of gore.The twist was like crap and left me a tad bit disappointed.<br /><br />Ever since the success of 'Lord of the rings',there has been this 'trilogy' craze going on in the movie industry.Eg,Matrix,Scary Movie,Pirates of the Caribbean,Spiderman etc.What I don't get is the X Men trilogy part.I mean,is there any continuity between the 1st and 2nd movie?I don't see any traces of it.<br /><br />There are lots of instances where film executives make a sequel out of the original movie for the sole purpose of making truckloads of money.In the process,the quality of the movie is forsaken.This morbid trend has disappointed many loyal fans of certain movies.<br /><br />Now,Hong Kong is facing an entirely different problem of her own.There has been a steady decline of HK films in the past few years.This problem coming from a country called,'The Asian version of Hollywood'.Just like many other people,I grew up watching HK films.I used to love HK movies because of its originality and the intricate storylines.But now,most of the HK movies have a lousy storyline to begin with.In other instances,the storyline is good,but the director ruin the whole movie with his art direction.<br /><br />Anyway,these are just my own thoughts.Just very fed up with the warped movie industry.It seems like it's a difficult task to balance box office earnings with the quality of a movie.<br /><br />Ok!!!!!!!Back to earth!!!!!<br /><br />I'm quite angry with my mum about something.<br /><br />Stayed at home these few days.Holed up in my room reading books and magazines.And getting irritated by my mum.<br /><br />Watched 'Run Lola Run'.The msg behind the whole movie is intriguing,the cinematography is really unqiue.Never see this style before.<br /><br />Then watched 'The Interpreter'.Really slow lor,the whole story.Fell asleep in the midst of it.My sis filled up the loopholes for me.Honestly,I watched it just to see how the interior of UN looks like lar.<div style="clear:both;
