padding: 5px 5px 5px 5px;"> <span style="float: right;"><font class="daisies">oh oh oh sad movies always make me cry</font></spaN><BR> <font class="peonies">Tuesday, December 27, 2005</font><br><br> <div style="clear:both;"></div>was watching this really ancient movie called 'In love and war',which is actually based on the real life account of Ernest Hemmingway.The story was about this 5 mths relationship that Ernest had with a nurse named Agnes.What affected me the most was the ending,they didn't get together coz Ernest was only 19 and Agnes was 26.She didn't want to tie him down since he has such a bright future ahead of him.<br /><br />So,Ernest Hemmingway transformed from a loving young kid to an angst filled man who hated Agnes for leaving him and he married 4 times before taking his own life due to his deterioting health.He wrote 'A Farewell to arms' to illustrate the unconsumated realtionship that he had with her.<br /><br />I felt so sad when the end credits rolled.Coz it was obvious that they truly love each other but then rationality(is there even such a word?)get the better of Agnes.She thinks he's too young for her.So sad!!!!!!!!<br /><br />And also,I didn't know Ernest Hemmingway has such a tumolous love life.He was always known to me as the old man and the sea guy.<br /><br />Strangely,I seem to have a better recollection of movies which have a sad ending.Like Love Actually,where Juliet didn't get togther with her hubby's best friend,who has been carrying a touch for her since like forever.I'll always remember the dialouge.<br /><br />Juliet to her crush: But you never talked to me,ever.<br />Crush: pausing for a gazillion secs, it's called self perservance.<br /><br />OH MAN!!!!!!!!!This poor guy has been bottling up his feelings for so long!!!!!!My heart went out to him.<br /><br />Forces of nature had a sad ending too.Sandra Bullock didn't get together with Ben Affleck coz he was already engaged to someone before meeting her.<br /><br />Indeed,true love never runs smooth.<div style="clear:both;
